End of Course

I would like to echo some of the sentiments as shared by my fellow classmates of the ICT course. It has challenged and stretched me beyond belief but has been on of the most interesting and exciting courses that I have taken in my Master's. I wish everyone well and hope you all have a well deserved summer break. It is always difficult to take a course in the Spring session because of the busyiness of this time of year so you are all to be congratulated. Thank you, Glen, for providing this opportunity for us.

I will be doing my final paper on Social Networking Hardware and Software and Student Learning. I will be looking at the pros and cons of using social networking for students and the impact on student learning.

Getting the time to explore the new technologies has been challenging and difficult given my world lately. However, am looking forward to getting time this week to expand on podcasts and work on my web video to bring it into my blog. Then will begin on my own Wiki.

Hello everyone! Just coming in to blog about my latest feedback on this course. One of the frustrating things that I am now experiencing is that I have to remember to physically log into so many specifice sites to access what I need to access and am having difficulty remembering all of the sites etc. It would be nice to have them all placed on a personal Wiki and I think I will work on setting that up. Other than that, it is the constant challenge of finding the time to 'explore' the new technologies that we are being introduced to and reading other blogs and responding. I just got back from the MTS AGM so that took a good part of my week so need to play some catch up. Talk soon,

Just sent my first tweet. Initial impressions are that I am interested about following some news stories. Found out that I have one follower immediately but it was someone that was looking for some companionship (how do they manage that). Now I'm working on how to block that person.

The Continuing Story

Well, time to add to my blog. It has certainally been a flurry of activity since my last post, and although I have not been blogging daily, I have certainly been checking out the technology and trying to look at how it works and what implications/uses it might have in my current work situation. What has struck me, is that every time we have a class session, there is a new (to me) technology/program that is discussed and it just speaks to what is available if only we had the time to check it out and then use it in our schools/classrooms in whatever role we happen to play. This course is providing me with the opportunity to examine these exciting areas and I hope to be able to enrich what I am currently doing with what I am learning on a daily basis in this course.
